Thank you for visiting bubblyrunner!  My name is Jen, and I love running and champagne, hence the blog title 🙂  I also try and maintain a positive outlook on life as much as possible and see the good in everything, and this is something I continually am working on and striving for.

I began running off and on after college, and had a love-hate relationship with it.  I completed a few 5K’s and a 10K, but was not consistent and would often go months at a time without running at all.  When stressed with school, work, or life in general, I would often cope by imbibing too much at happy hours, which led to poor food choices, unproductiveness the next day, and an overall feeling of ‘blah.’  One morning, I decided to lace up my shoes and just run.  I remember feeling out of breath before my first mile and thinking my heart was going to explode out of my chest.  But more than that, I remember how I felt after I finished–I felt accomplished, proud, and HAPPY.  Fast forward to now, and I have completed three (soon to be four!) half marathons and continue to run 4-5 days a week.  Running brings me peace and is how I maintain my sanity.

I am a wife, school psychologist, and mother to a lab/basset hound mix named Rusty.  I am an avid Green Bay Packers fan (although I live in Washington, D.C.) and love cooking and baking, as well as champagne & wine (obvi).  I hope you enjoy bubblyrunner!
